IKWRO provides advice, support, advocacy and referral services to Middle Eastern women and girls (Iranian, Kurdish, Arab, Afghan and Turkish) who are facing domestic violence, ‘honour’ based violence, forced marriage, female genital mutilation or other forms of abuse. As well as providing direct services to women and girls, IKWRO also runs a number of campaigns such as ‘Stop honour killings’, ‘no recourse, no refuge’ and ‘stop FGM’.
We are looking to recruit a treasurer to join our Management Committee. We need someone who is passionate about our cause and who has extensive knowledge of financial management with experience of the charity/voluntary community sector. This is a voluntary unpaid commitment; we will reimburse members’ travel expenses and provide an induction to IKWRO. We expect the treasurer to devote the necessary time, including an evening meeting every six weeks.
