nia’s IDVA (Independent Domestic Violence Advocacy) Service is a specialist service for women and their families in Hackney and Haringey who have been assessed at being at high risk of repeated domestic violence.

- Salary: £16,157 (£26 928 pro rata) – qualified / £14,147 – unqualified*
Hours: 21p/t hrs per week
Fixed term until 31 March 2012
The post holder will provide a service to survivors at high risk of repeated domestic violence in LB Hackney in order to reduce the risk of violence to themselves and their families. This will include working in partnership with local agencies, attending Hackney MARAC and supporting women through the criminal justice system.
nia’s IDVA service has a Quality Mark from the Legal Services Commission for General Casework (Women)

* Salary for women who hold either qualification is £ 16,157 ( £26 928 pro rata). Candidates who meet the requirements of the person specification but who do not hold either the Women’s Aid or CAADA qualification (or equivalent) must undertake to complete the qualification during their probationary period and will be offered a starting salary of £14, 157 and payment of course fees. The salary will be adjusted once the qualification is obtained.
