Women in Prison Ltd is a unique, national charity. We have the following vacancies:

Young Women’s Development Worker (35 hours per week)
(3 month temporary maternity cover) £23,562 – £24,480

Women in Prison Ltd require a temporary (maternity cover) Young women’s development worker. The role will involve providing advocacy, support and advice services to women prisoners, ex-prisoners or women at risk of offending aged between 18-25 years. With extensive knowledge of the CJS and a good understanding of relevant policy and legislation and how this impacts on women within the CJS you will develop both individual and group based interventions with women both in custody and in the community. You will also develop and deliver specialist training and advice to other professional organisations in this field. Based in Manchester.

CARE programme Advocate (21 hours per week)
£21,786 – £23,361

Women in Prison Ltd require a CARE Programme Advocate based at HMP Foston Hall in Derbyshire. The post is offered on a two year fixed term contract. The role will provide an independent, needs led support and advocacy service to CARE Programme participants. The successful applicant will develop individual one to one needs assessments, support plans and provide emotional support to all CARE programme participants, for a maximum of 2 years after completion of the programme; this may be in custody or in the community. The successful applicant will have extensive knowledge of the CJS and a good understanding of relevant policy and legislation and how this impacts on women within the CJS. Based at HMP Foston Hall Derbyshire.
