Advocacy & Support Advisor – Complex Needs (Female*) – Solace – 9th February 2012

Solace is looking for an Advocacy & Support Advisor to join our service in Islington. This is a new post and you will be working with women affected by domestic and or sexual violence who have complex needs including problematic substance use and mental health issues.

You must have a thorough understanding of the dynamics, impact and effects of domestic violence and direct experience of providing support to women affected by domestic and or sexual violence. You should have experience of crisis intervention work, risk assessment, risk management and safety planning.

The service works closely with a range of agencies including the police and other multi agency partners and is a core member of the Islington MARAC. As such you will also need the ability to undertake partnership work.

Preference will be given to CAADA qualified applicants.

SALARY: £25,515 (unqualified) £27,009 (qualified)
HOURS: 37.5 per week
