Expanding Women in London

Many thanks to everyone who took the time to respond to our question as to whether Women in London should expand to include groups based in other regions / countries.

Although the vast majority of those who responded were very positive about this possibility, the actual numbers who would have wanted to take up this option were too small to make it a realistic proposition.

There was interest was from most areas of England as well as from Scotland and Wales, but even so we will not be going ahead with offering listings to groups outside of the greater London area.

However we have now created a separate blog from womensphere to focus on news by and about women’s groups and issues in the UK and Ireland. So please do send any news or views about your women's organisation or local women's group and activities you would like included on this new blog womensgrid at http://womensgrid.freecharity.org.uk

We will continue to post international women's news to womensphere.

Once again many thanks for everyone and sorry if you feel let down by this decision but we feel it is the realistic one.

We are more than happy to provide information based on our experience of, for instance, setting up a women’s blog for groups in your region. This can be done at no cost other than women’s time.
