Part-time online course to help London individuals and businesses plan, implement and manage a teleworking programme, or improve current teleworking practices
28th February - 30th May 2000 to individuals and businesses which meet the ESF Criteria** This part-time flexible course aims to help London individuals and businesses to consider, plan, implement and manage the opportunities offered by teleworking, which have been made possible through the coming together of computing technology and telecommunications. Teleworking provides an opportunity for flexible and responsive working, enabling businesses to retain valuable staff and remain competitive whilst reducing costs, and employees to benefit through flexible working patterns. The course is designed to train both the managers of teleworkers and the teleworkers themselves, and is an innovative course in its use of a psychometric tool which enables companies to achieve the best match between teleworker manager and teleworker. ** SMEs are companies with 250 employees or less. City University have confirmed that voluntary sector groups would be eligible, but not public sector groups. Applications are particulary welcome from (amongst others) businesses which face the threat of redundancy and those aged 45+
