The Future of Equalities Seminar Series
Equality and Inequality :
visions and challenges for the future

A new seminar series, entitled 'The Future of Equalities', is being held jointly by the Fawcett Society and the Gender Institute at the LSE, with sponsorship from the Feminist Review Trust.  The seminars will examine visions and future challenges for gender equality and other equalities, in the context both of global social changes and also of developments in equalities legislation and institutions in the UK.  The series, running from November 2003 to summer 2004, will bring together academic researchers, policy makers, equality practitioners and activists in order to create debate and dialogue and encourage the development of new thinking.
  • Speakers for this first event include Sarah Spencer (Chair, Equality & Diversity Forum; Vice-Chair, Commission for Racial Equality) and Prof. Anne Phillips (Director, Gender Institute, LSE), with other speakers to be confirmed.
