The 20th Anniversary Celebrations - 20 years and still moving forward A Day to celebrate FORWARD'S work against Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and other harmful traditional practises, affecting African women and children. Monday, 21 April 2003 - Linbury Studio Theatre [Royal Opera House], Covent Garden
The play will be followed by a round-table discussion; the keynote speaker will be Ms Efua Dorkenoo OBE. The topics discussed will include the new FGM Bill, the conflict between FGM and 'Designer Vaginas' and FORWARD's focus for the next 20 years. There will be the opportunity for participants to mingle and network over tasty snacks before the musical concert in the evening. The concert features a variety of African artists as well as a guest appearance by one of FORWARD's patrons, Skin (formerly of Skunk Anansie). Tickets cost £15 for the play and roundtable discussion, and £20 for the concert. For a limited time there are discounted tickets for the whole event for £30!!
