Working With Men For Change: Gender And Sexual Health Matters
Akina Mama wa Afrika Consortium 'Africa21', African organisations promoting Africa's development Conference to explore gender perspectives on collaboration to influence change provide a forum for discussing attitudes to sexual health issues provide an opportunity to assess gender roles, and attitudes to collaboration, especially in the area of promoting sexual health. Wednesday 11th June 2003, 9.30 - 4.00 Objectives: Forum for women and men to: * discuss collaboration to influence change * discuss the impact of gender inequalities, policy interventions and barriers to sexual health * share Information, raising awareness of safer sex and sexual health issues * propose methods of gender collaboration to promote better attitudes, understanding and services for African HIV/AIDS sufferers and their carers * provide networking opportunities between African and mainstream organisations working in development, service providers, sufferers of HIV/AIDS and their carers.
