Wesley House, the building in central London, sometimes known as the London Women's Centre, and / or the Wheel, has now been taken over by a business school.
Wesley House was developed with funding from the former Greater London Council (GLC) Women's Committee in 1984 to provide space for two work place nurseries and office accomodation for a number of women's groups as well as training, meeting and theatre space. Followng the demise of the GLC in 1986 the building was temporarily run by the London Borough of Camden. They then entered into a lease / management agreement with a private company which ended in a legal dispute in 1996. This notice is just posted as a point of interest to those groups and women who were tenants or users of the building during its brief life as a space for women. |
