Who is this training programme for? Do you work in the work in the voluntary and community sector? Does your organisation work for or with women? Would you like to learn more ways to make your group more effective? Then you and your organisation could benefit from this training. What is capacity building? Capacity building is about learning how to best use the resources available to you and your organisation and how to develop new opportunities for your organisation. In short, it means how to run your organisation more effectively. What can I learn about on this training? The topics covered will be:
How much does it cost? Each course costs £35 (or £25 for WRC members) for the entire course which includes course materials, refreshments and lunch. The Open College Network accreditation is free of charge. Some funds will be available to cover some child care costs in some circumstances. Some BSL and interpreter support will be available. Will it be difficult? This is an accredited course (accredited by the London Open College Network) but there are no exams involved! The emphasis will be on ongoing, practical assessment which will recognise your experience and learning. It is not like being back at school! The training will be enjoyable and informal as well as practical and informative. How do I apply? This training will be running from May 2003 to July 2004 in a number of different London boroughs.
