Group Purpose:
  • YWCA England and Wales is a force for change for women facing discrimination and inequalities of all kinds.
  • Through our network of youth and community projects, we support young women experiencing poverty, unemployment, violence and abuse and campaign to overcome the barriers to their full participation in society.
  • In London and the South East, we have five young women's projects:  Dagenham, Tonbridge, Harrow, Northolt and Maze Marigold (East London).
  • There is also the YWCA London Committee, which campaigns about issues that affect young women and takes part in the annual 16 Days of Activism Against Violence Against Women.
