These hands will not be raised in violence against women Sunday 24th November 2002 at 1pm outside the Tate Modern on Bankside Rally against Violence Against Women We are going to be creating a large pledge sheet - "These hands will not be raised in violence against women" - and asking people to sign up by imprinting their hands, drawing around their hands, signing their name or otherwise making a mark. We'll also be selling white ribbons and handing out information about violence against women. The event is primarily for supporters of the YWCA London and for the young women from our youth and community projects in London, but we'd love any support from anyone else, particularly other young people and young people's groups. |
