Account3 Women's Consultancy Service in partnership with WITS driving School is offering free Driving Instructor training, worth over £3,000 to 20 female refugees in east London.
The applicants must pass a number of criteria set down by the Driving Standards Agency as follows:
- Full driving license held for at least 4 years, not necessarily British could be other EU countries and other countries on the DSA list
- Aged over 21
- Good standard of English as required for teaching (level 2 minimum, we can assess this if people are not sure).
The course covers 3 exams set by DSA
- Part 1 - driving theory (at higher level than the standard test)
- Part 2 - Practical driving lessons leading to higher level driving test
- Part 3 - Ability to teach in car
Once the candidate has passed part 2 they may work for 6 months under license to gain the required teaching experience before taking part 3 exams
This course will be intensive and require a lot of time and commitment, Ability to concentrate, read and comprehend English is required because there is quite a lot of reading to do in a short time
The successful applicants will be offered a guaranteed well paid job in a supportive environment on completion of the course and exams.
