Eaves : London Hostels Fail To Protect Women Training Day
On International Women's Day Eaves published a report that showed that many hostels working with women do not recognise sexual or domestic violence, stalking, childhood sexual abuse or involvement in prostitution as important in assessing women's needs.
The results of the survey and guidelines for improved service provision for women will be available to the housing and homelessness sector at a training day in London on 27 April 2006. Presentations by Eaves' Chief Executive, Denise Marshall and representatives from the Ashiana Project, and the Women and Girls Network, will focus on the needs of homeless women; developing anti-Violence Against Women policies in the Supporting People framework; supporting women who have experienced sexual violence, domestic violence and childhood sexual abuse; and addressing the needs of women involved in prostitution.
To book a place at the training day or to purchase a copy of the report, please contact: Isabel Eden on 020 7840 7126
The training day will cost £15.00 and all delegates will receive a copy of the report.
