Courses and Training

Enfield Women's Centre : Parenting Skills Course

  • Six week course
  • Commences January 2009
  • Every Friday 10.30 – 12.30
  • In Ponders End

    • Being a parent is one of the most difficult and important jobs we will ever have to do. Sharing ideas with other parents can be really helpful. We are delighted to be able to offer a short 6 week course in Parenting Skills in conjunction with the Family Learning Service at the London Borough of Enfield.

    Topics covered will include:

  • How to listen to and communicate with your child
  • How to encourage your child and raise their self esteem
  • How to manage your child’s challenging behaviour
  • How we look after yourselves as parents
  • Where to go if you need further help

    • The sessions will be relaxed and friendly.

    The course is free but there is a £2.00 per week contribution towards refreshments etc.
