GLDVP Stella Project : Exploring the links between domestic violence and domestic violence – for non specialist workers

This course is specially designed for non-specialist workers who wish to gain an insight into both sectors and whose clients may present with both issues.

Participants will explore some of the myths and realities around links and causality, and the use of drugs and alcohol in abusive relationships.

It will highlight the need to approach the dual issues in an integrated way through partnership working and adequate referral processes.

Please note that this is a predominantly theoretical course and will not give training on safety planning and risk assessment. Specialist workers will not be eligible for places on this course.
