The National Residential College for Women
Hillcroft's aims are:
- to help women who may previously have faced educational or social disadvantages to progress into higher education, vocational training or employment;
- to contribute to the national development of women's education
- Hillcroft offers:
- A range of residential courses leading to university, or employment, plus a range of professional and self development courses.
- delivering basics skills or building confidence
- Courses varying in duration from 3 days or a weekend up to a year
- Courses to boost skills and build confidence for women new to or returning to work after a break
- Grants which cover tuition and accommodation for most students
- A supportive learning environment with staff who are expert in helping adult learners gain skills and confidence
