Research Skills – 11-13 July 2007
Are you confused about how to find the information you need?
This course focuses on ways to access information from text-based sources.
It will give you a good introduction to library search skills and use of the internet.
Writing Skills- 16-18 July 2007
Do you want to write more confidently and use a range of writing styles for different purposes?
This course will help you develop the more formal academic writing skills required for reports, essays, assignments and exams.
Use appropriate structure, language and layout to get your ideas across.
Essay Skills- 18-20 July 2007
Need to write an essay but don’t know where to start?
Want to learn the ‘secret’ of effective essay-writing?
This course focuses on the range of strategies and skills needed to write an academic essay.
