Free Professional Training
- Does your agency work with or come in contact with women who have experienced gender violence? If so, are you trained in awareness and best practice in working with disabled women?
- Does your agency come into contact with disabled women? If so do you know how to identify the signs of gender violence and to provide appropriate interventions?
We are now offering free in-house training for professionals. It is aimed at anyone who may come in contact with disabled women who have experienced gender violence, i.e. frontline staff, police, courts, and statutory agencies.
The training will be tailored to best meet your organisation’s needs. It can include: context and prevalence, understanding the social model of disability, good practice, safety planning and risk assessments, assumptions and interventions.
It can range from a 10-minute ‘taster’ session to a half or full day training.
