Rights of Women : are offering two exciting new courses for our Outreach Training Programme in 2007
They are:
Black and Minority Ethnic women and violence
This provides an overview of the legal rights and remedies available to BME women who are at risk of or who have experienced
- forced marriage
- female genital mutilation
- trafficking
- problems with immigration and asylum as a result of these forms of violence
Recognising that violence against women takes many forms and that appropriate and accurate legal information is not always available, this course is essential for those supporting or providing services for all women
AND
Domestic Violence and the law - updated
To coincide with the introduction of the Domestic Violence Crime and Victims Act 2004, a practical course to enable you to support women seeking protection from domestic violence from the civil law including
- non-molestation and occupation orders
- who can apply
- how to make an application
- enforcement
Each participant will receive a copy of the newly revised Rights of Women Domestic Violence DIY Injunction Handbook
