Rights of Women : New Rights of Women Training Course!

Domestic violence: criminal and civil remedies – a new regime.
Wednesday 25th July 9.30 – 1.00 pm, NCVO London.

This course is essential for anyone working with women who have experienced domestic violence – including Independent Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence Advocates.

The course will address the changes to the law brought in on 1st July 2007 with a practical overview of the law relating to domestic violence including:

  • Summary of the changes brought in by the Domestic Violence Crime & Victims Act 2004
  • The criminalization of breach of non-molestation orders
  • Restraining orders and the Protection From Harassment Act 1997
  • Criminal & civil law- the boundary blurred
  • Supporting women through the civil and criminal law system

Participants receive a free copy of Rights of Women’s Domestic Violence DIY Injunction Handbook 2nd Ed.
