Rights of Women : A new regime: domestic violence - criminal and civil remedies

To coincide with the implementation of the Domestic Violence Crime and Victims Act 2004 (DVCVA) in July 2007, a practical overview of the new law relating to domestic violence including:-

  • a summary of the changes brought in by the DVCVA
  • the new criminal offence of breach of a non-molestation order
  • restraining orders and the Protection From Harassment Act 1997
  • civil and criminal law - the boundary blurred
  • supporting women through civil and criminal law systems

    • Participants will receive a copy of Rights of Women's Domestic Violence DIY Injunction Handbook (Second Edition).
