Women's Environmental Network : Waste Not Training

Waste Not Training Day

• Keen on waste prevention and need some fresh ideas?
• Looking for a new direction for your group?
• Want to meet other WEN local groups and be inspired?

Then come along to WEN's 'Waste Not' Training Day at City Temple, Holborn, London on Saturday 10th September 2005 from 11am – 3pm.

The day will include:

• Fun waste-themed activities to build confidence and get ideas flowing
• Introduction to WEN's Packaging Action Kit and Guide to Give or Take Days and other resources, Q and A and experience-sharing session
• Free vegetarian lunch and a chance to mingle and chat with other local group members

Below is a programme for the day, a booking form and directions for the City Temple. This event is participatory so please bring the following with you:

1. An example of a piece of packaging that annoys you
2. Something to 'give or take' – a small household item that you don't need but that someone else might want (an umbrella, a book, a set of knitting needles…?)

Please put this date in your diary and – very important – please forward this invitation to your group members (let us know how many copies of this invitation you require). You can register for the day by completing the booking form and posting, faxing or emailing it (the form can be completed electronically) back by Monday 5th September.

• Note: there are limited places available so please book early!
  It's really important to be able to give accurate numbers for the caterers, otherwise there will be uneaten meals and that's a waste! (and which we will be paying for). So if you are planning to come please make it a firm commitment so we can count on your participation.
• Remember: The Packaging Action Kit and Guide to Give or Take Days are available to WEN local groups for free (and sometimes for other groups). They are always available to download from the website - http://www.wen.org.uk/waste/resources, or contact waste2@wen.org.uk for a hard copy.
