Women's Health Concern : Free Educational Seminars

Women's Health Concern is the UK's leading charity offering help and advice to women on a wide variety of gynaecological and sexual health conditions. Our unique nurse counselling service provides women with unbiased, accurate information to help them understand more about their problems, allowing them to feel confident about discussing the diagnosis process and treatment options with their doctors.

Our website http://www.womens-health-concern.org/ is now accessed by more than 20,000 women a month, emphasizing the existence of a great information gap about women's needs and expectations. We have recently introduced a 'Focus on' Series which provides an in-depth review of women's conditions.

Based on the increasing demand for reliable and unbiased information, WHC is planning to increase the charity and services awareness by organising Educational Seminars on the most common women's health concerns at women's clubs, associations and places of work. This series of seminars is aimed to inform women about the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the most common health topics affecting them. They are free of charge and are conducted by doctors and nurses

Suggested topics may include:

  • HRT: Friend or Foe? "Just how should a woman manage her menopause?"
  • Osteoporosis - The silent killer
  • Bladders and other postmenopausal problems
  • Is hysterectomy always the answer?
  • Heavy bleeding and fibroids
