44 Portland Place (YWCA Central Club) : Women's Small Business Community @ 44 Portland Place Upcoming Events

May 1st - E-Commerce
* Would you like to have you own website, but think you can't afford it?
* Would you like to promote your business online, but are not sure where to start?
* Come along and learn some tips on how to easily establish an online presence for your business, how to start selling your products and services online with minimum cost, how to book a domain name and what you need to consider when building a website, plus much more!

June 5th - Funding
* Alan Badger of JandAB Associates, a funding consultancy/project management company will talk about how look for funding from various organisations.
* We are also hoping to have somebody from Business Link London present who will be able to give some specific advice on funding for small businesses in London.

July 3rd - Copy Writing
* If you are running advertising that is not working, please stop it!
* This applies to you whether you're running ads in newspapers, magasines, or on radio, television, internet, billboards, flyers, brochures, posters, taxis or buses.
* People run advertising because they feel they ought to. They're not really sure if it's working but they are hesitant to stop it because it may be one of their main forms of marketing.
* By the end of this session you will have enough information to ensure that you are never in that position again. You will either be running great ads that produce great results, or you will be spending your marketing money elsewhere.

September 4th - Dragons' Den - How Do you Sell your Business?
* Panel

October 2nd - 'Looking After Yourself'
* This workshop is aimed at all of us trying to do too much: running our businesses, our families, social calendars, trying to keep up with news, trends and politics.
* If you too feel overwhelmed at times, join a discussion with other like minded women and get tips and support around how to put together a healthy 'self care' programme.

November 6th - Open Space
* Discover case studies and best practice
* Share success stories and challenges at Conversation sessions

December 4th
* Wine Tasting
