Access to birth control and abortion is crucial for women's equality. But while most people in the UK identify themselves as pro-choice, the media often focuses on the perspectives and frequently misleading propaganda of the increasingly vocal anti-choice movement. When it comes to positive, non-judgemental stories on abortion, the silence is deafening.
Join Abortion Rights, the UK's national pro-choice campaign, at a speak-out event in support of safe, legal abortion throughout the UK. Attendees will see an excerpt from the film, "Speak Out: I Had An Abortion," hear women speak about personal abortion experiences, and have an opportunity to share their own stories.
Open and honest conversation about the abortion is the best defence against the anti-choice lobby. Let's raise our voices to support women's right to choose.
All pro-choice supporters welcome.
