Bird's Eye View : Film Festival 2006 is in 3 parts:

    I – International Women's Day Gala, March 8th, NFT
    II – Shorts & Features, June 1st-4th, Apollo West End
    III – International Documentaries, Sept 14th-16th, ICA

Film is the most powerful medium in the world, but only 7% of directors are women. Birds Eye View brings you the new generation of talent from across the globe.

The Birds Eye View Film Festival 2006 launches at the National Film Theatre on International Women's Day with a stunning selection of diverse and innovative short films. The season continues with international shorts & UK features June 1st-4th (Apollo West End), and international documentaries September 14th-16th (ICA).

Part I: INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY GALA - WEDNESDAY MARCH 8th 8.10pm, National Film Theatre

The evening will be introduced by comedienne Arabella Weir (The Fast Show, Does My Bum Look Big in This?), and a directors Q&A will follow the screening, PLUS appearance from Debbie Isitt, with an exclusive preview clip from her star-studded feature Confetti (Jessica Stevenson, Martin Freeman, Alison Steadman, Julie Davis) – on general release in April in USA and UK.

And finally, a free party for all ticket holders in the NFT filmcafe with sounds from London's top female DJs. 10pm-midnight. Free beer & other goodies!
