True Cost of Sexual Violence
All day conference on 22nd April 2005
Organised by the Lilith Project.
The conference takes place at the LVSC on Holloway Road and lunch will be provided.
Aims of this conference are to highlight the long term social costs of sexual violence to society and to illustrate that sexual violence, like domestic violence, impacts upon everyone; to serve as a networking opportunity for statutory and voluntary agencies to share expertise and revitalise the sexual violence sector; and to assess current provision for victims of sexual violence and discuss how to build on these foundations to create a support service that is a model of best practice.

Therapeutic support for women who experienced sexual violence, cycles of abuse
Workshops include:
- Control, consent, abuse: SV in relationships
- Counselling SV
- Educating non-violence: combating the socialisation of rape
- FGM and sexual control
- Capacity building in the SV sector
