Chris Green, Director of the White Ribbon Society, has persuaded men in highly patriarchal cultures to stand against Violence against Women. Chris will discuss how he brings men to recognise that masculinity does not lie in dominating women. Instead, it includes appreciation of feminine values, abilities and social contribution.
Miranda Suit, Director of Media Watch, has persuaded powerful media directors of the adverse effect of some trends in media reporting. She will take us through her programme of research and analysis and presentations to the media moguls.
Our Parliamentarians (tbc) will present their experiences as women campaigning and working in Parliament.
In the lst hour, those who have already decided to work for decision-making positions, or to support others in so doing, will stay on to discuss the help they need or can offer others.
We very much hope you will be able to join us on this interesting day. We have taken account of hard financial times and have lowered the day's fee to £15, or £10 if you have attended previous events.
