Women and Manual Trades - Tradeswomen's Network Event

Speed Networking Monday 19th September 2005

In June members gathered for the first in our series of Tradeswomen's Network Events. Jackie Mollison gave a fascinating account of her work history which spanned carpentry, building, teaching and her current post of building manager and Cath Hassell delivered a very entertaining presentation of the highs and lows of her career path from plumber to energy consultant. The event was very successful with over 30 members attending.

Our next event will be speed networking. This is an excellent opportunity to exchange information and ideas, get support and meet new people. The event will be very informal with a chance at the beginning to 'speed network' with everyone there in 3 minute slots. Later on an opportunity will be given to get together with women working in the same trades in a trade forum.

The event will be held at the WAMT offices, from 6.30pm on Monday 19th September. The speed networking will start at 7.00pm.
