Women's Health Concern : Presents a Charity Gala Performance of Menopause The Musical - Thursday 12 April 2007
Menopause The Musical (MTM), an international smash hit from the United States to Canada, Australia and New Zealand, is coming to London on 27 March 2007, opening at The Shaw Theatre in London’s Euston Road. Seen by over 8.7 million women (and the men who love them) in 110 cities and 9 countries, the show is a phenomenon which has been entertaining and inspiring women since 2001.
Women’s Health Concern, by kind permission of writer Jeanie Linders, presents a Charity Gala performance of Menopause the Musical on Thursday 12 April 2007. WHC is the UK’s leading charity providing women with help and advice on the menopause.
The Charity Gala will be supported by a star studded celebrity list and will include a pre-show drinks reception hosted by WHC Patron Penny Junor and an after-show party with the MTM cast. As WHC chairman, Dr John Stevenson comments, “We are delighted to be chosen as the beneficiary charity for this event and to have the opportunity to work with MTM in raising awareness of menopausal issues. Women need to know that help and advice is out there, and as a women’s health charity, we are dedicated to this cause. The menopause is often an under-reported subject, so a musical event of this nature helps to put menopausal issues firmly in the spotlight.”
Tickets for the Charity Gala are available from the Shaw Theatre box office, priced from £29.00 - £59.00
WHC provides help and advice to women on a wide variety of gynaecological and sexual health conditions, including the menopause. The charity offers a free confidential telephone and email nurse counselling service providing unbiased and accurate information and support to help women understand more about their sexual health problems. As the only patient organisation to have qualified menopause and gynaecology nurses running their help line, WHC also has 22 of the UK’s leading gynaecology and menopause specialist doctors providing back- up support and advice to the charity. Fact sheets covering menopausal issues and other aspects of women’s health are downloadable from the WHC website or by sending an SAE to: WHC, Whitehall House, 41 Whitehall, London, SW1A 2BY.
