Women in Publishing : Surviving as a small independent publisher

Judy Piatkus is nothing if not a survivor. Her company Piatkus Books is now 27 years old and one of the UK's leading independent publishers.

The company employs 28 people and publishes a wide range of fiction and non-fiction. Judy will be talking about aspects of running an independent publishing company and building a list.

Many of you will know Judy from her pieces in The Bookseller and, of course, she was the winner of the last Pandora award presented by WiP (Dec 2005).

Do come along to hear her speak on the 14th.

By the way, if you have Valentine's Day plans, you will still have time to move on to a romantic dinner as we'll be finished by 8pm.
