Gillian Proctor, Clinical Psychologist, Bradford & Airedale Teaching PCT Mental Health Team & Honorary Research Fellow, Centre for Citizenship & Community Mental Health, University of Bradford. She has a special interest in ethics, politics and power.

Neuroscience, Attachment and Person Centred Therapy
This workshop will provide a brief introduction to the recent contribution of neuroscience to our understanding of developmental processes in general and attachment patterns in particular.
Dagmar Edwards is the primary tutor in the Person-Centred Department at the Mentonia Institute, a Module Leader, assessor and examiner in the Integrative Department and a Director of Psychology Matters.
Domestic Violence and Cultural Issues in Therapy
This workshop will examine the conventional paradigm of culture and challenge its patriarchal traditions of misogyny and disempowerment of women. The aim is to question who defines ‘culture’ and look at how this relates to service provision and domestic violence.
Ramesh Kumari Talwar is a counsellor, supervisor and lecturer in counselling. She currently teaches at Interpsyche, The Centre of Counselling & Psychotherapy Studies, Kent.
Good Practice Guidelines for Therapists
The workshop will focus on the recent domestic violence and mental health toolkit to help mental health workers understand and work with domestic violence.
Dr Roxane Agnew-Davies is a clinical psychologist with expertise in the field of psychological effects on women of domestic violence. She is a Senior Research Fellow at London South Bank University and Mental Health Adviser to the Greater London Domestic Violence Forum.
