Women's Library : Free Guided Tours
Did you know that The Women's Library offer free guided tours to groups?
Community organisations like women's networks or groups of ESOL learners are welcome to book as well as informal groups of friends or family for a visit lasting around one and a half hours lead by a friendly volunteer guide.
During your visit you can:
- Find out how The Women's Library came into existence
- Take an eye-opening guided tour of our current exhibition
- Learn about what's in the largest collection of women's history materials in the country, and how you can use it yourself
- Get a closer look at the material with our handling collections - choose from 'Women's Suffrage', 'Women's Liberation' or 'Cooks and Campaigners'
Tours are offered subject to availability and the minimum group size is five people.
Booking
- Group visits are by appointment and need to be booked with us in advance.
- Catering can be ordered for your comfort.
- Drop in tours that individual visitors or smaller groups can join are regularly scheduled as part of our public programme.
- Tours of the reading room specially tailored to students are also available - please enquire on booking.
