Why are Asian women underrepresented in British politics, and how can we encourage a new generation of leaders into local and national government?
This panel discussion, chaired by Professor Zenobia Nadirshaw, Head of Psychology at Kensington & Chelsea Primary Care Trust, will address these questions and more.
Members of the panel will include
- Barbara Follett MP, Minister for Equality;
- Baroness Mazila Pola Uddin, Member of the House of Lords and human rights campaigner;
- Venu Dhupa, Theatre Director and government cultural adviser;
- Zerbanoo Gifford, the first Asian woman appointed as a Liberal Councillor, member of the Race Relations Forum and campaigner;
- Priti Patel, Prospective Parliamentary Conservative Candidate and Conservative Parliamentary spokesperson on law and order.
