Women's Library events programme for Spring/Summer 2008

Coming up soon is the Out of the Archives series exploring the lives of inspiring women whose collections the Library holds.
Judith Bourne will be speaking on Helena Normanton on 6 March
Jennian Geddes on Elizabeth Garrett Anderson on 10 April
Sally Alexander and Sheila Rowbotham in conversation on 17 April
On 27 April there's a free event joint with fpa (Family Planning Association) on the impact that pornorgraphy is having on relationships today.
In our Annual Lecture, Rt Hon Shirley Williams will be reflecting on women's progress 90 years after the vote was won on 13 May.
A special display of suffrage banners features in summer's What Women Want exhibition, celebrating the hundredth birthday of many of them - Elizabeth Crawford talks about the march they were made for on 14 June.
There are also several women's history walks and some cracking books to get your teeth into in the Reading Group.
Don't forget - the Sinners, scroungers, saints exhibition ends on the 29 March.
The Family Day on 1 March would be a great day to visit, when there'll be frequent guided tours as well as an Artist's Talk by Jo Holland.
Other free drop-in tours are being held on Thursday 13 March at 6.30pm and Saturday 29 March at 12pm.
