Women's Pioneer Housing is one of the longest established housing associations providing homes for women and their dependants. We were set up in 1920 and provide 1000 rented flats in central and west London.

The Mary Smith Lecture was launched in 1997 to mark the outstanding contribution to housing, and to Women's Pioneer Housing in particular, of our former chair, Mary Smith. Through the lecture we hope to draw attention to specific issues affecting women, as users or providers of social housing.
