ALG's Proposed Changes to Funding the Voluntary and Community Sector

Are you funded by the ALG or were thinking about it in the future?  

The ALG is currently consulting on how it will fund the voluntary and community sector and what it will fund.  

Key issues raised in the ALG's consultation document, 'Funding for the Future', include:

• funding based on needs assessment
• a move from grants to commissioning
• the possibilities of mergers.  

It is vital that the women's voluntary and community sector develops a position on the proposed changes as there will possibly be a number of closures of voluntary and community organisations.  

The WRC with the Asian Women's Resource Centre are holding a consultation event on Tuesday 19 April in central London.
