Women's Resource Centre - Consultation Event

Getting Gender on the Agenda (WRC consultation event)

Clarification on previous information

  • What should the government's involvement in the women's voluntary sector be like?
  • Should the women's voluntary sector be delivering public services? If not, where will our funding come from? If so, how can we retain our independence?
  • What about full-cost recovery (paying for your overheads)?
  • How can we ensure funders treat women's organisations fairly (should there be penalties if they don't?)
  • Where is the money? Commissioning, procurement, tenders ... how will the women's sector survive?
  • How can we get gender on the agenda?
Speakers include:
  • Paul Chandwani, Home Office
  • Richard Hebditch, Compact Working Group
