Sexual Violence Workers Meeting WRC and the Lilith Project have joined forces to call a meeting for those who work in the field of sexual violence to come together. We are concerned about the marginalisation of this sector, including current funding, amount of service provision, lack of acknowledgement of gendered analysis and lack of acknowledgement of women only space. We want to hear from those who work in this field. The Lilith Project and WRC want to offer this sector strategic support, led by women in this field. The actual number of organisations who work specifically in sexual violence is very small, so we welcome any women across sectors (eg, Domestic Violence, mental health) who work in some capacity on sexual violence.
