Camden Women's Health Forum
- Purpose:
- Working to promote and understand women's health issues with health professionals and other key stakeholders

- Developing more responsive health services and enabling women to influence and take part in the development of these services.
- Working with women's groups to develop innovative project workWorking to influence policy and commissioning
- Activities:
- Projects/initiatives:
- Sexual Health Peer Education project (targeting Bangladeshi and Somali Communities)
- Osteoporosis Prevention and awareness raising (from November 06)
- Cervical and Breast Cancer Awareness (Lead PCT) including new peer education screening project with community workers and religious leaders (training in June)
- Domestic Violence and Health Information sharing / networking / community involvement:
- Quarterly Forum meetings
- Quarterly newsletter
- Infrastructure support to voluntary and community sector organisations
- Input into operational and strategic partnerships and forums
- Women's Health Information Pack
- Supporting health promotion workshops/events
- Inputting into other networks, partnerships and commissioning
- Inputting and supporting consultation events relating to women's health, e.g. PCT, Gender Equality consultation, LBC community Safety strategy

- Approx 325 members from community, voluntary and statutory sectors. Membership is open to all women and organisations with an interest in women's health who work and/or live in Camden
