Inspire, Black Country

Purpose:

Inspire, Black Country is a charity dedicated to promoting the interests of women and supporting women's organisations in the Black Country in all aspects of public policy and life.

Inspire aims to encourage women, in particular marginalised women, to find their voice and participate in local decision making, and to reflect women's voices, experiences and views in order to influence change at all levels of public policy within the West Midlands Region.

Activities:

Inspire's objectives are:

To challenge social and economic inequalities women face and to research, reflect and advocate women's views at local, sub-regional, regional, national and international levels.

To re-launch Inspire as an agency dedicated to the interests of women and of women's groups across the Black Country and within the West Midlands region.

To continue to support the four Women's District Forums (Walsall, Wolverhampton, Sandwell and Dudley) to develop their engagement in strategic decision making and their empowerment of local women's groups.

To support existing and newly formed women's groups and organisations across the Black Country to engage with Women's District Forums.

To promote feminist ideals and woman centred working arrangements as valid tools for responding to the needs and interest of women
