North Northumberland Women's Network
- Purpose:
- Sets out to address women's needs and interests in a holistic way and create new connections between social, economic, health, education and cultural / leisure opportunities.
- It gives women a greater say in issues that affect them locally; and offers very practical developmental support for women's entrepreneurial activity, social or economic.
- Activities:
- Networking events
- Seminars of policy issues
- Programme of activities including crafts, outdoor pursuits etc
- Personal development training
- Mentoring scheme
- Exchange and trading scheme - skills, services and products using a virtual currency
- Coastal mile environmental project
- Transnational project looking at role of rural women's networks
- Women's Workshop - building our own wood frame building to learn building skills and support women into alternative careers
- Training
- HERitage social enterprise offering women tourists mini-breaks in Northumberland run by local women in the network

- North Northumberland (Berwick and Alnwick Districts), also work in partnership with other women's projects elsewhere in Northumberland
