Rural Women’s Network

Purpose:
  • Established in 2001, the Rural Women’s Network has over 2800 members and was set up to provide women in rural Cumbria with the skills and support to enable them to increase their income generation capacity and economic activity by developing the entrepreneurial, networking and employment skills.
  • Changes and a reduction in funding in 2006 have meant a scale down in some services however the 10 network groups continue to meet throughout Cumbria to provide networking, support and training opportunities to women who own their own business or are in the process of setting up in business within the County.   • Activities:
    The network groups meet on a regular basis with varied speakers, topics and events. Details of individual group activity can be found on our website.
