Sisters' Dining Club
- Purpose:
- The Sisters Dining Club aims to provide a safe, stress-free and friendly forum for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) women to share their experiences of working in business environments where they are the only, or one of the few, women from a minority background.
- The two key objectives of the dining club are to enable members to explore specific issues which are pertinent to BAME women in the work place and to celebrate success.
- Each dining club event is designed to be entertaining and informative - a mix of business and fun, where we promote a relaxed environment and encourage an open exchange of views.
- Activities:
- The dining club meets every two months. The focus of each meeting is to provide members with a safe forum for sharing their concerns.
- As well as providing a forum for debate, and the opportunity for social networking, the club also offers the following wider benefits to members:
- Identification of and access to role models and potential mentors
- Opportunities to share information about other BAME networks
- Opportunities to share information about cultural events
- Fun! Members will have the chance to dine out in a relaxed environment and get to know other like-minded BAME women
