Women In Public Policy

Purpose:
  • A quarterly magazine and network forum written by women working in and influencing decision makers in National and Local Government, Law FinanceAdvertising and the Voluntary sector.
  • Activities:
  • We have a membership network which organises a debating forum 4 times per year at which influential speakers are invited to meet and discuss a topical issue with our members in an intimate surrounding.
  • This issue is first discussed in our quarterly magazine ‘Women in Public Policy’ available to all members either to download or by post.
  • Our first issue had articles from Deputy Prime Minister Harriet Harman, The Rt Honourable Theresa May, and Liberal Democrat MP Lynne Featherstone who were all on the networking debate panel. The subject was ‘The Equality Bill’.
  • March’s magazine has articles Local Government from Communities Minister Hazel Blears,– Margaret Eaton - Head of the Local Government Association and Liberal Democrat – Baroness Hamwee. The Topic is ‘ Local Government, a female perspective’.
