Women’s Weekly News

Purpose:
Weekly news digest, events and job opportunity newsletter focusing on media portrayals of violence against women.
  • Output: weekly on Thursdays via e-mailOutcome: inform and empower women’s sector and provide information on the true scale of violence against women for the general public.
  • Outcome: raise the profile and aims of the Lilith Project and its partners.
    • Activities:
    Publicising recent incidents of violence against women in London and the UK, reporting on the development of judicial processes concerning VAW, informing the women’s sector on Government decisions, providing a vehicle for women’s organisations to advertise events, services and job opportunities.
    Region or specific community:
    Worldwide, but most subscribers are UK-based.
    Membership Criteria if any:
    No criteria for subscribing, but advertisers must be either a women’s organisation or promoting a service for women.
    Membership Fee if any:
    None, but donations are welcomed.
