Bird's Eye View Festival Submissions

|
- Overview The 1st Birds Eye View Festival will take place in London from the 8th to the 13th of March 2005.
- Submission Guidelines Please read the Birds Eye View Submission Guidelines before submitting your film/video, and read our FAQ.s page before contacting Birds Eye View with further questions.
- Eligibility Birds Eye View accepts films and videos of all lengths and genres, however the work submitted must have been directed by a woman.
- Deadline Deadline for submissions is November 3rd 2004
- Submission Fee Submission fees vary depending on the running time of your entry:
- If your submission is 30 minutes or less the entry fee is £10.00 + VAT per entry
The total fee including VAT is: £11.75
- If your submission is between 30 and 60 minutes long the entry fee is £20.00 + VAT per entry
The total fee including VAT is: £23.50
- If your submission is feature length the entry fee is £30.00 + VAT per entry
The total fee including VAT is: £35.25
- Submission fees must be paid by cheque.
Please make cheques payable to Birds Eye View.
- Multiple Submissions Birds Eye View is accepting multiple entries. If you are submitting multiple entries please include a separate form and fee for each submission. Please note that we will not be accepting compilation tapes.
- Preview format Entries should be submitted for preview on VHS cassette (PAL) or DVD. Please label these with the title of the film/video, its running time, your name, phone number and e-mail address. Please ensure all tapes are cued.
- Exhibition Formats Birds Eye View accepts all exhibition formats.
- Submission Forms These can be downloaded from our website www.birds-eye-view.co.uk
- Mailing info Please send your entry with a completed submission form and correct entry fee to: Birds Eye View, Unit 310A, Aberdeen Centre, 22-24 Highbury Grove, London N5 2EA. Please do not send us your submission in a fibre filled envelope - the dust from these can damage VCRs and other tapes.
- Return of your materials Please provide a self-addressed, stamped envelope if you would like us to return your entry.
- Confirmation If you would like confirmation that we have received your submission please also include a stamped self-addressed postcard with your name and film title on it and Birds Eye View will then post this back to you upon receipt of your entry. All entrants will be contacted about whether or not their entry has been accepted into the festival, via e-mail, by December 8th

- Submissions Checklist Please ensure that you have:
- Read the Birds Eye View guidelines and FAQ.s.
- Filled out the submission form clearly.
- Included a clearly labelled VHS or DVD preview copy of your submission
- Included a cheque made payable to Birds Eye View for the correct submission fee depending on the running time of your entry. (Remember if your are sending in multiple entries you must fill in a separate submission form and include a separate entry fee for each entry)
- Included a stamped self-addressed envelope if you would like your entry returned.
- Included a stamped self-addressed postcard if you would like confirmation of receipt of your entry
