* Report shows glass ceiling across criminal justice system *
The third interim report from Fawcett's Commission on Women and the Criminal Justice System finds a glass ceiling excluding women from top jobs right across the system. The Commission's final report is launched on 31 March.
* Women under-represented in politics *
As the Conservative Party selects Malcolm Rifkind for the safe seat of Kensington and Chelsea, women continue to be under-represented in the Conservative Party and all major British political parties.
* Banner competition marks 75 years of equal votes *
To mark last year's 75th anniversary of equal voting rights for women, a competition run by BT, Fawcett, the Women's Library and the Museum of London invites primary and secondary school pupils to design and vote on banners about issues of importance. Top prizes of £1000 in each age group.

The Government has announced that £250,000 is being allocated to fund six new Sexual Assault Referral Centres - the first to open soon in Peterborough - and improvements to three of the existing seven Centres.
